Whether you play FPL for the first time or you are an FPL veteran, there is always a way how to improve your Fantasy Premier League skills.
You should always study stats and listen to quality podcasts to learn about the opinions of other fantasy managers. But there is one way of improving your FPL skills that is not often talked about: reading quality books about FPL.
I was very surprised when I read my first one (on the beach in Croatia before the start of the season) – a book called Wasting Your Wildcard. There were a lot of unique points of view on the game that I had never considered before.
There were things I agreed with but also things I disagreed with. However, it gave me another perspective on how to perceive FPL and the mechanisms behind it.
So, if you like reading as I do, I really recommend you to find some free time and learn from some of these books. They can also be a perfect gift for FPL, Fantasy Football managers.

These books are not about FPL..
But they are about strategic thinking which is crucial for success in Fantasy Football. If you already read all books about fantasy football and looking to broaden your horizon and improve your tactical thinking, these are my personal recommendation.
I cannot guarantee that you will like them, but these are the books that helped me with my personal development, the way I think, the way how I approach certain situations I need to deal with not just in Fantasy Football but in life in general.
1. Principles: Life and Work
My favorite personal development book. The book focuses on how principles and systems can help you improve all areas of your life. And in my honest opinion, having decision-making systems and principles is crucial for a successful fantasy football season.

2. The Art Of War
Fantasy Football is about rivalry. If you want to win your mini-league, you sometimes need to know your rivals, predict their moves, or sometimes even tricked them. And if some of your mini-leagues is literally a war, the knowledge from this book can help you win it. It is not about FPL, but it is about tactics and strategies that can help you conquer your battlefields.
