1. Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 23 Tips
- Make sure you are considering double gameweek 24 (Everton and Liverpool will play twice) when planning your transfers and strategy
- Many managers will aim to use a chip in DGW24 – Triple Captaining Salah will be a popular move.
- However – there is a case for using a bench boost in DGW24 as well – especially if you have 2 playing keepers, a full 15 of starters, and would need to bench good players in order to play some Everton assets. If that is your case, you could just bench-boost in GW24.
- There is also a case for triple captaining Salah in GW23 against Ipswich instead of DGW24. DGW24 fixtures looks good on the first glance, but both games are away, and the Bournemouth fixture will be difficult. At home, Bournemouth has 4th lowest xG conceded this (11.35). Everton is worse, with 17.53 xG conceded at home. In contrast, Ipswich conceded 25.8 xG away (3rd worst of all teams). We are not trying to put you off from TC Salah in DGW24. We are saying there is a case for being a bit cautious about this, and presenting an alternative.
- Our view on Foden – he is not a priority transfer, given City’s form and fixtures. In my opinion, if you have him, keep him. But if you do not own him, do not buy him now. But that is just our opinion.
- Our view on Kluivert: he is having an exceptional season, but he banged 3G + 1A in GW22 from just 0.33 xGI – from 3 shots and 3 key passes. He is a very explosive fantasy asset this season, but 49% of his points came in just 3 games! He looks like an asset, where you need to survive a lot of his blanks and hope that he will bang 20 pointer again soon, and rely on penalties. His non-penalty xG this season is just 3.84 (in comparison, Semenyo has 9.07 non-penalty xG). His two 20+ points hauls feels like outliers from a statistical point of view, so he might not get another one this season. We are avoiding him for now due to his unpredictability. We would rather pick more consistent assets at this price point, or players who are proven assets and did “it” in previous seasons.

2. FPL Gameweek 23 Transfer Tips and Key Players to pick
Key players to pick
- Salah – the best player in the game, your captain in both next gameweeks
- Palmer – second best player in the game, its that easy
- Gabriel/Raya – have at least one Arsenal defensive player
- TAA/VVD/Alison
- Isak, Wood – both very close, all are talismans for their teams.
- Mbeumo – the key man for Brentford, can deliver in any match, fixtures do not really matter
Transfer targets
- Mykolenko, Pickford – when planning for DGW24, especially if you will bench boost in GW24
- Gakpo – could be a nice differential in the next 2 gameweeks, have his rest in UCL, but hard to predict how many minutes he will play in next 3 games
- Watkins/Rogers – next 3 fixtures for Villans are appealing
- Munoz/Eze/Sarr/Mitchell – Crystal Palace with appealing fixture run up to GW31
- Gordon, Hall – to field next to Isak, or Murphy as differential
- Wood, Sels, Aina
